The 2nd Saijo Clinic Cinematheque has just ended.
\nAfter the recent mishap of not being able to show a scheduled film, this time we installed a Blu-ray player, so we could enjoy the best picture and sound quality in our clinic. With a little bit of ingenuity, we were able to solve the problem of the height difference between the chairs and the comfort of the audience. Throughout the two operations, we found that up to 12 people would be able to watch the film comfortably.
\nAs for the film, it was wonderful. This is the second time I have seen it and I thought I would not be as moved as I was on the first viewing, but I was crying like Hoshi Hyuma, a protagonist in the famous Japanese Manga, long before the scene that brought me to tears on the first viewing. I wondered if I had been struck by the way he lived his life, the way he expressed the innocence that is in everyone’s heart, with his whole body, with his whole life. As one of his colleagues says at the end of the film: “He symbolizes the possibilities of humanity”. “I’m so happy to talk about him, You know this feeling, don’t you?”
\n… Yes, I do understand.<\/p>\n
