第3回さいくりシネマテーク終了しました。
今回の作品を、私は四半世紀ぶりに観ましたが、当時と全く変わらぬ魅力を放っていることに驚きました。アキ・カウリスマキの小津作品へのオマージュを特に感じる作品でもありました。しかし、ブルーレイDVDの画質はすごいですね。
参加してくださった方々は8名で、映画製作のプロの方も含めて、様々なバックグラウンドを持つ方々が集まって下さいました。何が上映されるのか事前に公表していないのに、たまたま数日前に本作品の原作を読んだと言う方もいらして、映画では分かりにくかったことを、時代考証を交えながら教えてくださいました。また、皆様のバックグラウンドは様々でも何処か共鳴し合える部分があり、ネットワークが広がっていく瞬間を体感させていただけました。
2月に開始して3回目を迎えた、さいくりシネマテーク。これからもアナログでミニマムだけど、血の通ったソーシャル・ネットワーキング・サービスを提供していくことになるのでしょうか。

The 3rd Saijo Clinic Cinematheque has just ended.
I watched this film for the first time in a quarter of a century, and I was surprised to find that it still has the same charm as then. I was particularly impressed by Aki Kaurismäki’s homage to Ozu’s films. Aside from that, the quality of the Blu-ray DVD is amazing.
There were eight of us who attended the event, and we came from a variety of backgrounds, including some professionals in film production. I didn’t announce in advance what was going to be shown, but one of them happened to have read the original story of the film a few days before, and he explained to us what was difficult to understand in the film, using historical references. Despite their different backgrounds, there was a sense of resonance between everyone, and we were able to experience the moment when the human network expanded.
Saijo Clinic Cinematheque, which started in February, is now in its third session. Will it continue to provide an analog, minimalist, but heartfelt social networking service?
